Federal Student Aid (FSA)

Eligible AAPT students now have access to low-cost government loans that are designed specifically for students, with low interest rates and favorable

repayment terms. FSA is available to US citizens and legal residents, regardless of past credit history. Start the process here with your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

state-specific assistance programs

AAPT participates with a variety of state-level government programs that offer funding to students in need. Click on the links below to see if you qualify.
Vocational and Educational Services
for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID)
. Available to NY residents who qualify.
Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC). Assistance ranges from $3500 to $5000.
Massachusetts Division of Unemployment Assistance (MA-DUA)
Training Opportunities Program (TOP / Section 30). Available to Massachusetts residents who are receiving unemployment benefits and who qualify for tuition assistance under Section 30.

military assistance programs

For AAPT’s military students, there are several great options available for tuition assistance through the following programs. Click on the links below to see if you qualify.
GI Bill. Available to military veterans who qualify. Assistance covers full cost of tuition.
Military Spouse Career Advancement Account Program (MyCAA) Available to military spouses who qualify. Assistance is capped at $4000.

AAPT payment plans

AAPT offers in-house, interest-free payment plans to help students manage any tuition balance leftover after government funding, as well as to provide an alternate option for students who are not eligible for federal, state, or military aid. Payment plans do not require a credit check and are designed to make funding tuition easier by dividing the total amount due into manageable monthly installments. All AAPT students are eligible for payment plan options.

AAPT tuition discounts

AAPT offers specific tuition discounts to the following groups:

  • Service members and veterans of the military, police and fire department
  • Full-time federal, state, and local government employees
  • Full-time non-profit agency employees
